Live recording of my set at Life on Marz Community Club in Chicago on Saturday, January 24th as a part of the 2026 Redux Summit! Something was causing the recording to peak throughout the recording, but it chills out a lot after the second track. I apologize for that I’m not sure what happened, it wasn’t peaking on the mixer/over the loud speaker in the venue. I hope you’re able to enjoy it anyway, it was a really great first experience doing a non-vinyl live mix :)
Redux has a couple events coming up this Saturday (1/24) in Chicago, one of which I am on the bill for, so this week we have a very special guest, maxbookpro! Max is a DJ and musician, releasing music under the solo moniker Jyu, as well as making up one half of the duo Catdog. We share tons of musical interests and I'm super stoked they agreed to fill for me this week. For my first ever true guest mix, my good friend René a.k.a. Superexitos is taking over the show! René is someone whose music taste I really admire and love talking about music with. I asked them to do a guest spot almost immediately after Redux was conceived and gave total free reign over what they wanted to put together. I'm very grateful they agreed to produce an episode for me while I was travelling the last couple weeks <3 <3
This is my second ever collaborative episode, this time with my very close friend and roommate, Mick Rutowski. Mick plays guitar in everyone's favorite midwest powerviolence band, Felon Class. We have a shared love of the speedier subgenres of punk and we linked up to deliver 60 chaotic minutes of powerviolence, hardcore, crasher crust, grindcore, and some in-between stuff. I'm stoked to have fit so many sick bands into this mix and huge shout out to Mick for bringing their wealth of knowledge to the table to help me make this xx
Mix intended for upload before the second field day event, but I didn’t finish it in time. I still planned to upload it as a field day mix since today is the day all the live sets from field day were supposed to go up, but those recordings apparently got ruined so I don’t know if anyone will be uploading those LOL. I’m still uploading it as a field day mix despite it all, since that was the original intention behind the tracklist. Okay love u bye xoxo

this week marks the first ever themed mix for the redux hosts! the theme this week was 'field day' and there is an actual FIELD DAY EVENT TOMORROW (7/12)!!! it's taking place at garfield park in grand rapids from noon-dusk. if you are interested, there are more details on the redux instagram. i filled my mix with a bunch of songs that remind me of being outside in the summer time ☻ hope you enjoy and i will see you at field day ☀︎
my birthday was this week so fellow redux host ahn (slice of life) and i decided to link up and make a drain gang mix lol. we've been floating the idea for a while and i'm very grateful to them for helping me make this :) it was an extremely pleasant first experience making a collaborative mix. they also helped with some mixing on the ecco/nuphory mashup. big love 2 ahn <3

Full-vinyl set recorded live at Otono in Grand Rapids on May 4th, 2025. Had some technical difficulties with some low end feedback, primarily during the first 20 minutes or so, apologies for any weird sounds but I did my best to fix it in post!
